Hosting the 34th America’s Cup in San Francisco could bring a net benefit of up to $88.2 million to the City of San Francisco in increased tax benefits and residual benefits from long term development, according to a fiscal feasibility analysis of the proposed Host City and Venue Agreement released today by the Office Economic and Workforce Development (OEWD). The analysis looked at two possible event scenarios on the Port of San Francisco – on the Central Waterfront, anchored by Piers 30/32, 50 and Sea Wall Lot 330, as well as on the Northern Waterfront, extending from Pier 19 through Pier 29.
